If you've been following The Anti Hair Slave since the early days, you know that I love Dominican Hair Care products. So naturally, when Round Brush Hair was hosting a March Madness contest where the winner would win a $100.00 gift certificate to the site I was in! I won that contest and purchased a huge Dominican Hair Care product haul. One of the sets I ended up ordering was Crece Pelo Shampoo and Crece Pelo Conditioner because I had previously purchased the Crece Pelo Natural Phyto-therapeutic leave-in at my local BSS (beauty supply store). I purchased the leave-in because it has ceramide in it and ended up really loving it.
Product Descriptions (via RoundBrushHair.com since the BoeCosmetics.com site is in spanish)
Shampoo and Conditioner: This is the first phito (phyto? maybe) therapeutic shampoo that consists of the use of natural plants, for the capillary growth. Its innovative formula contributes 100% active natural extracts necessary for the good state of the hair. This treatment adds the nutrients necessary to return health, beauty, vitality, softness and flexibility to the hair, helping it to grow.
Leave-in: Specifically formulated to condition and protect your hair. The components help to hydrate, condition, protect. Also helps with shine and volume.
AHS thoughts: First, I'll address the shampoo. It smells really fresh and clean, which made my hair and scalp smell really fresh and clean. It thoroughly cleanse both my hair and scalp actually a little too well. My hair felt dry and was really tangled after use. The shampoo does contain SLS, but it's a clear shampoo. I've found that most clear shampoo's really dry out my hair. Thank goodness for the conditioning treatment because it provided instant slip and made my hair soft and easy to detangle after shampooing. The conditioning treatment also has the fresh and clean scent so that was nice. Now on to the star of the bunch, the Leave-In. Like I said before I love this leave-in treatment. It makes my hair feel soft and moisturized, plus it has the very beneficial ceramide as an ingredient. My hair literally drinks this stuff up and loves it! It's a cream leave-in so I don't notice much shine from it but the softness and moisture level is enough for me.
